We want to translate their stories into something that can be enjoyable for our players. They pushed us to work with actual Tier 1 operators to get insight into how these guys work out in the field, the extreme situations and training they endure, as well as the close bonds they form.

LT: That’s something we’ve always been sensitive to and mindful of on our projects. Is this a deliberate attempt to silence critics who suggest gritty military shooters simply sensationalize human tragedy? PA: The Medal of Honor games have always shown an undeniable reverence for soldiers, their camaraderie, and their sacrifices. We’re actually working with two dozen real-world Tier 1 operators to gather their experiences, stories, and insights, allowing these things to drive certain aspects of the game, from missions to combat maneuvers to weaponry. In 2010, Medal of Honor introduced the world to the Tier 1 operator. It’s one of the ways we inject authenticity into our campaign this time around, authenticity being the core of the Medal of Honor franchise from the very beginning.
